2012 was the most successful year in the company’s history: it boasts a sixfold increase in sales, an increase in personnel to 300 employees, and 100 million registered players
At the turn of the year, the online games developer Goodgame Studios from Hamburg, Germany, could celebrate an abundance of highlights, which had been building throughout the whole of 2012. “The past year surpassed all of our expectations,” COO and co-founder Dr. Christian Wawrzinek concluded.

This year Goodgame Studios was at the gamescom for the first time. 17 colleagues were representing the company at three booths, socialising, having conversations and recruiting new employees. The latter was the company’s main goal at the world’s greatest fair for videogames.

An increase from just under 200 staff to at least 800 is planned in the next twenty months
“We don’t want to merely continue the success of Goodgame Studios, we want to give it a major boost,” COO Dr. Christian Wawrzinek outlines the plans. “To continue to develop new, innovative products and increase our presence in the world’s major markets, we will be expanding in all areas.” People with experience in the online gaming industry, creative career changers and talented graduates are needed. “We are looking for people who love the product like we do, and with us will take Goodgame Studios to the very top,” Christian Wawrzinek continues. “This growth plan is just an intermediary step,” adds his brother, CEO Dr. Kai Wawrzinek. “We want to be one of the world’s largest game companies by the end of this decade.” At least 200 new jobs are planned for the current year.
