GOOD Studios – Supersonic is developing at supersonic speed

As you probably already know, we’ve been doing some big things at Goodgame Studios this year in our quest to achieve sustainable growth and count among the leading game developers worldwide in only a few years’ time. That’s why we have fundamentally restructured our company and established seven independent development units in order to diversify our product portfolio and get our new games on the market more efficiently. It turns out that we couldn’t have chosen a better name for our company six years ago: we want to produce good games beneath the overarching roof of Goodgame Studios, and that’s what we are doing in our studios now. We’d like to begin presenting these studios to you regularly in our blog. Read more

The mystery of the technical artist – artist or programmer?

Good games are a synthesis of multimedia art created by people with the most varied of skills. Creative artists design breathtaking landscapes and characters, while analytically-minded developers program the basic framework for making a fun game. Many game development jobs can be classified as either number or design based. That is not true for the technical artist, however. Another top student at Goodgame Studios

We can’t say it often enough: we could never be as successful as we are now without our wonderful team! The right leadership for successful growth

Here at Goodgame Studios, we strive to  engage  our managers with thought provoking training seminars. We recently welcomed Henning Böhne, Executive Partner of the Malik Group, for the latest lecture in our Incentive series. Over 100 of our managers participated in his presentation titled, “Good growth through good leadership”.

While growth and constant change are nothing new to Goodgame, they still pose a big challenge. Every month, approximately 50 new employees join our company and expand our existing teams or create completely new ones. To ensure that all of them feel settled here and can get down to work straightaway, we need more than just our already outstanding working atmosphere. We need excellent managers too. The talk addressed precisely this point and provided a good source of knowledge and inspiration for our heads, leads, and senior management.

Fairy tales and MySQL – the PHP user group visits Goodgame Studios

On November 11th, we once again played host to the PHP User Group Hamburg. Before the presentations began, we gave the participants a studio tour so they could get to get to know Goodgame Studios a little better. Our colleagues Anett and Benjamin guided our guests around the Goodgame campus, affording them an exclusive look behind the scenes of our company. Our large PHP department certainly left an impression, with 54 team members working on projects including our shop system, landing pages, and integrating our games into our partner sites. Many of them are members of the user group and had already shared their knowledge at previous events. Read more
